Chocolate Protein Smoothie Bowl
A thick, fudgy smoothie bowl made with chocolate whey protein powder, topped with crunch, fruit, and a drizzle that makes it feel like dessert for breakfast. For Smoothie: 1 scoop of Designs for Sport® Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Chocolate powder. 1 frozen banana 1 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 0.3 cups unsweetened almond milk For toppings: 0.3 cups granola 0.5 fresh banana slices 1 tablespoons sliced almonds 1 tablespoons drizzle of almond butter or honey 1 teaspoons cacao nibs (optional) Steps Blend the base: Add 1 frozen banana, 1 cup chocolate whey protein powder, 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon almond butter, and 0.3 cups unsweetened almond milk to a high-speed blender. Start with less liquid, the base should be very thick, almost like soft-serve. Add a splash more almond milk only if the blender struggles. Check consistency: The mixture should hold its shape when scooped with a spoon. If it's too runny, add a few more frozen cauliflower pieces or a handful of ice and blend again. Pour into bowl: Scoop the thick base into a wide bowl. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon. Add toppings: Arrange and add toppings in rows or sections across the top.
